HAMILTON HEIGHTS TERRACE This development was a successful Neighborhood Strategy Areadesignee in 1979. It was completed two months ahead of schedule and it provides 151 affordable apartments ranging from efficiencies or 0-br to 3-br apartments. This erection speed is attributed solely to the use of concrete plank (it forms the ceilingand floor of apartments) with masonry bearing walls and the contractor's excellence.
The major achievement is the production of quality, fireproof construction, on time, within the budget in the inner city where the need for affordable housing is most severe. Where the production of affordable housing competes with the rate bf abandonment against the backdrop of a morass of complicated municipal regulations. We have honed our skills of producing housing in this atmosphere over a 31 lyear period. The developers were Mr. Sidney Engel, Mr. Ray Mariani and Sir James L. Robinson, OSJ.
